I Was Trapped in a Cycle of Pain: Until Everything Changed”
My name is NIMBONA Evangeline, beneficiary of the ITOTO Project, implemented by RGW, and member of the Kanyosha Incubator.

I’m a mother of eight children, and I’ve also opened my heart and home to three adopted children.

For years, my life was a nightmare filled with abuse, fear, and silence.

My husband, often under the influence of alcohol, would beat me whenever I asked him for anything. No answers, no explanations, just violence.

The abuse was constant, and our fights became so intense that even the local authorities were aware of our situation.

In public, things were no better. He would humiliate me in front of other women we worked with, stripping me of my dignity. At home, he refused to provide for our children. I was left alone to care for them, relying only on the small profits from my work to survive.

Anger consumed me. I became bitter, and I took it out on my children, sometimes even hurting them physically. The guilt crushed me, but I felt trapped in a vicious cycle with no way out.

Then, RGW stepped into my life and everything began to shift.

Through RGW’s life-changing teachings, I learned about emotional needs, love languages, and how powerful simple, affirming words can be. I began to understand my own pain—and how it was shaping my actions.

Slowly, I started to change.
I approached my husband with more humility. I learned to speak to him instead of shouting. And to my surprise, he responded.

Today, he provides for our family, ensures we get medical care, and even accompanies us to the hospital.

My children have noticed the difference, too.
“Mom, you’ve changed,” they say.

Now, instead of punishing them harshly, I talk to them and help them understand their mistakes, and show them love.

I’ve become a woman at peace. I smile. I laugh. I dream about the future with my husband. There’s a new sense of harmony in our home, something I once thought was impossible.

RGW came into my life at my lowest point… and gave me the strength to rise. My life has been forever changed.
