My name is KABURA Gertrude, beneficiary of the ITOTO Project, implemented by RGW, and member of the Musaga Incubator, and I live in Gitamuruka.

Before joining RGW, my life was filled with pain and hardship. My husband did not treat me well, he had no respect for me.

Often, he would leave the house without leaving any food behind, and when he returned home drunk, he would demand a meal, even though he had provided nothing.

It was an incredibly difficult situation to live in.
Before RGW, whenever my husband came home, he would use hurtful words.

Out of anger, I would respond the same way. Our home was filled with constant arguments. I was so overwhelmed with rage that there were moments I even considered harming him because of how he treated me. I lived in a cycle of deep frustration and verbal violence.

Then I joined RGW, and everything started to change.
I learned that each person has a unique temperament that cannot be changed, but that our personalities can grow and evolve. I discovered concepts like the emotional love tank and the five love languages.

These teachings opened my eyes. I finally understood why so many homes fall into constant conflict or end in divorce. Most of the time, it’s because we fail to understand and manage our different temperaments.

After going through RGW’s sessions, I began applying what I learned, step by step. First, I took time to understand my own temperament. Then I learned about my children’s, and finally, my husband’s. That awareness helped me completely change how I react.

Today, I take my place as a woman with dignity and strength. I no longer judge my husband, nor do I respond to him with harsh words.

For example, when he upsets me with his words, instead of reacting in anger, I choose to go to my room and pray. That choice helps me protect my inner peace and avoid escalating the situation.

RGW has truly helped me improve my relationships, especially with my husband. We now live in a much more peaceful environment, and I am deeply grateful for everything I’ve learned.

Thanks to RGW, I’ve found a peaceful way to manage conflict and embrace my role as a woman within my family.
